T4 Wk 8 Blog Mission Christmas Present

There is only one way to open a Christmas present correctly.

First, you grab your present

Then, you read the card (if there is one)

And lastly, rip open your present and have a face full of joy! (Sometimes faked).

T4 Wk 7 Blog Mission Poem

Mushrooms, they are really not cool.
Every time I smell them I have to leave the room.
The top is like the moon and the bottom is stubby.
My least favourite mushrooms are big and chubby.
Like Santa, he's a real chubby bunny.
It's a fungi, it's not really fun guys.
Every time you eat them you get a surprise.
Like a present, you find under your tree.
Except if it's a present, it will fill you with glee.
They're really disgusting I hate the stuff.
I think my rhymes done I've had enough.

T4 Wk 7 Blog Mission "Christmas Talent Show"

The is a girl that loves dancing. She wants to show off to her dad but he is too busy with work. She thinks he is not watching but at the end he "dances" with her.

Her passion is dancing. Everywhere she goes she is dancing.

Because he is work caught up with work.

I think her mum died when she gave birth to her daughter.

I would say have your kids go first before work.

She thinks he is telling her "not now" or "go away, I'm working".

What would the world be like.....
If kids had tails, they would be hanging from them everywhere.
If leaves were fish people would never go hungry.
If toes were teeth, every time you stubbed your "toe" you would have to go to the dentist for a chipped tooth.

T4 Wk 6 Blog Mission #1

A school in Auckland has cancelled their end of year school prizegiving due to the issue of inequality...

A school in Auckland has cancelled their prizegiving because they believe that it isn't fair that some academically gifted students get praised and other students don't. But then they will keep the sports prizegiving and not award the sport challenged people.

I believe that students who excel in their field of work should be rewarded. The people that don't get rewarded, look up to the others and have a goal to be like them.

Positives: There is a fair playing field, there are no favourites, people don't feel left out.

Negatives: People don't get praised for their achievements, non-sport skilled people get left out and get no prizes.

Who Invented The First Shopping Cart

Sylvan Goldman was the person who invented the shopping cart on the 4th June 1937. Sylvan was also the owner of the Humpty Dumpty supermarket chain in Oklahoma. It was said that one night he sat in his office, wondering how customers might move their groceries.

Sylvan invented it in Oklahoma City with help from his engineer friend Fred Young. The first cart was based on the design of the foldable chair. It was invented so customers can carry more groceries while doing their shopping.

In 1946 the cart changed. The back of it hinged the rear panel so trolleys could be put together for storage. The Telescope cart was made in 1949 and still remains the model for most carts today. In 1954 the fold-down seat was made so parents could spend more time looking at the shelve and not worrying about their kids. The cart was very very similar to the ones there are today.

The Easter Island Mystery/Spark My Curiosity

Some People might wonder why there is status dotted around Easter Island. The remote island is made up off volcanic rock and the rainwater is soaked up so easily that is can not form pools of water. Then Scientist found out that the water underground flows downhill, and at low tide, flows into the sea. The people then could hang buckets or other rain catching things over the edge of the hills and collect the water. The status are markers to show where the water is catchable.

Holidays T4 Wk1

What Are Holidays Good For?: Holidays are good for catching up with friends and family, going on holidays. They are also good for sleeping. You don't have to worry about sleeping in too long and being late to work or school.

What are holidays not good for?: When you're stuck at home doing nothing it is very easy to eat because of boredom. You could eat way too much and become fat. You could ruin your sleeping pattern. All those late nights during the holidays become normal in your brain. So the day school goes back you sleep in till 9.

Cross Country Reflection

On Monday 20th August my school had cross country. XC is held at south farm, just outside of Ngatea. The first age group to go was 11 yrs. It then went 5 yrs, 6 yrs, 7 yrs and all the way up to 12 yrs (excluding 11 yrs). The coarse was different this year, we had to go small, big, killer, big and then to the finish. I came 12th and didn't make it to Hauraki Plains. Tbh I am kinda glad I didn't make it because I don't like running and it hurts my knees.

Blog Mission

Toes are great! They help you balance and grip onto things. Toes maintain contact to the ground 75% of the time. They also help the feet bear the weight of the body. The most important toes are the big toe and the little toe. They help maintain balance slightly more than the others. But the downside is they smell, really bad!!!

Game Review

Minecraft

  • A brief description of the game:
Minecraft is a survival/creative game I play on my phone. I mostly play survival. When you create
your world you will get spawned in a random place (unless you use a seed). The first thing you
want to do is collect wood by chopping down a tree. Next, make a crafting table and make a
wooden pickaxe. You will gradually collect more oars and defeat the game by killing the Ender
Dragon.
  • 3 skills u might learn from playing the game and how you use them:
Fine motor skills- Learn where the controls are and use them without thinking about it.

Learn how to survive. Learn that you need to replenish food and have protection.

What stone is the strongest? I have learnt that diamond is the strongest stone it takes a long
time to break it.

  • What do u like most about this game and why?
I like playing survival mode in Minecraft because when you beat the game it feels like you have
accomplished something. But the downside of this game is you have to save your progress every
time you want to stop playing. If you don’t, your game goes all glitchy and you have to restart the
game.
  • Game rating out of 5
I rate this game 4/5

  • Image related to your game
